BID XFP transceivers are designed for bi-directional 10G serial optical data communications over singe fiber, also called WDM XFP, Bi-directional XFP, single fiber XFP. BIDI XFP transceiver modules are hot pluggable and low power consumption, designed for 10G Fiber Channel, 10G Ethernet, SONET OC-192, SDH STM-64, OTN G.709 applications over a single-strand Single Mode fiber.

The transceiver consists of two sections: The transmitter section uses a multiple quantum well 1330(1270) nm DFB laser and is a class 1 laser compliant according to International Safety Standard IEC 60825. The digital diagnostics functions are available via a 2-wire serial interface, XFP MSA package with Simplex LC connector. The transceiver modules are are RoHS-6 compliant and lead-free.
